Amir Gold – Writer, Director

Amir Gold was born and raised about 10 minutes from Allentown in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Southern Lehigh, he now attends the University of California, Los Angeles, where he is studying cognitive science and film in his second year. Always a fan of storytelling, Gold used to write short stories in elementary school, then attended Pennsylvania Youth Theatre for an additional six years where he was able to write, direct, and act for the theatre. Created spontaneously on a dewy March Los Angeles morning, Gatropologue became Gold's first fully realized short film with an improvised narration and shots of a snail he took on his iPhone. He hopes to further improve his skills as a filmmaker by continuing to experiment with small exercises in creativity such as this one, and looks forward to producing a professional-budgeted film with resources he can use to spread messages of peace, love, and acceptance.
