Tolerant No Longer
Marya – Writer, Director
After discovering theatre anthropology in graduate school, performance artist Marya turned to filmmaking as a means to delineate the sacred buried in the profane world. Recently, increasingly distressed by our nation’s political climate, her films have veered into the realm of political activism. Marya has been creating films in conjunction with annual multimedia installations at her downtown Easton Pennsylvania National Geographic designated Geo-Tourism destination, ‘The Museum of Ethnography’ since 1999. Her poetic narratives document her life’s journey. Joining her in this pursuit is her husband and collaborator George.
